The Staffordshire bull terrier originates from England and is one of the most popular breeds in the country to this day. The Staffordshire bull terrier or Staff is a small short legged stocky, short haired breed. The Staff is a hi energy dog that needs a good amount of exercise, they tend to live a long life for a dog, in my personal experience I have noted one living up to 14 years old which is extremely good for a dog. The staffs coat can come in a large variety of colourings ranging from mostly anything much like the APBT, which I believe was bred from the staff. The staff is an extremely loyal and friendly breed and can make a great family pet. If not trained well the staff can sometimes maybe be a bit of a handful but they do tend to get on extremely well with other dogs if socialized from a young age. There is also a breed called America Staffordshire bull terrier or Am Staff which is slightly taller and has a longer muzzle.
