The Perro de Presa Canario or Presa Canario as its commonly known aka the Canary Mastiff it a medium to large breed dog which mainly comes in two colourings of a dark light bridle colour or a light tanned colour with a black mask. The Presa originates from the Canary Islands which are part of the Spanish community and was bred for various violent tasks such as dog fighting and bull baiting and as such is extremely muscular, agile and of a medium to high energy. The Presa needs allot of exercise and usually tends not to get on well with other dogs but if socialized from a young age can be ok. The Presa is extreamly loyal to its owners and makes an excellent guard dog but if well trained can make a very good family pet.
