The Dogo Argentino, Argentinian Mastiff or jus Dogo is a tall muscular breed with a medium to high energy. It has a short fine white coat with a black nose, this is the breed standard. It has medium sized ears that fold over half way but the ears are usually cropped as this is mostly preferred by breeders. The Dogo Argentino originates from Argentina where it was used as an all round working and hunting dog, and it has also been known to be used in underground dog fighting circles. The Dogo Argentino is one of the four banned breeds in the U.K. as stated in the dangerous dog's act of 1991 but in spite of this it can make a great family pet and guard dog. The Dogo Argentino needs allot of exercise and mental stimulation in its life and concerning training methods it doesn't seem to react well to harsh treatment during training the best way to train this breed is in the way of leadership and routine.
